Introduction to New Assignment: Factual Programme & Homework Assignment

We have now been introduced to our 4th Assignment which involves creating a factual documentary of a specific topic or subject which can portray informative facts and the audience will gain more knowledge into a certain aspect, the subject will also include social and the community, whereby we I am aware we will be creating our own factual programme and then editing another group's factual programme as a social community based film. I have also furthered my knowledge into documentaries and identified the components and conventions used to portray a documentary by watching a number of documentaries such as; Michael Moore's popular documentaries, and seen the different styles and modes which can be found in documentaries. Conventions of documentaries include portraying to the audience some background of the subject which films also generally use to portray the audience the scenery and become familar with the background and location, interviews are very popular within documentaries and they generally include interviews with experts within the subject, interviews with the general public and interviews that have been affected or have an opinion on the subject, therefore the audience can retrieve more knowledge and understand more.

Within the next few days, I will be developing and adapting an idea for a factual programme with some relevance to social and the community such as; health issues-smoking, drinking, STI'S, Enviroment Issues, Crime Issues to raise awareness and to hopefully be beneficial to people affected by these issues.
